PATNA: In a significant political development, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi announced on Friday that opposition parties are coming together to defeat the BJP in the upcoming 2024 general elections. Addressing a large gathering of Congress workers and leaders at the party office in the Sadaqat Ashram area, Gandhi emphasized the deep-rooted connection between Bihar and the Congress party. He declared that all opposition parties have united in Bihar with the common goal of collectively defeating the BJP.

Gandhi further expressed confidence in the Congress party's victory in the upcoming elections in Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Telangana. He accused the BJP of fostering division, hate, and violence, stating that a battle of ideologies is currently taking place in India. According to Gandhi, the Congress represents the ideology of "Bharat Jodo" (Unite India), while the BJP and RSS embrace the thinking of "Bharat Todo" (Divide India).

Highlighting the significance of unity within the Congress party, Gandhi cited the example of Karnataka, where the BJP's influence waned when the Congress stood united. He confidently predicted a similar outcome in Telangana, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, and Madhya Pradesh, with the Congress emerging victorious. Gandhi attributed this projected success to the party's commitment to championing the cause of the underprivileged.
