Hyderabad: Driver captured for kidnap and rape of minor young girl

A driver has been taken into custody on charges of abducting and sexually assaulting a minor girl within the jurisdiction of Mokila police station. The incident was brought to public attention following a formal complaint lodged by the girl's father this past Sunday.

Inspector Naresh reported that the victim, a tenth-grade student, was discovered to have been in a relationship with the alleged perpetrator, Mohd Asif, who was employed as a driver, for a duration exceeding one year.

When the young girl went missing for an approximate period of 25 days, her family registered a missing person report on November 16. Following a comprehensive technical investigation, authorities successfully traced both individuals to a rented residence. Subsequently, the girl underwent a medical examination, leading to the registration of a legal case under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) including 417, 420, 363, and 376. Additionally, charges were filed under sections 5 and 6 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
