The tadasana or palm tree pose is the pose that stretches your spine and relaxes the back. The very energizing pose develops physical and mental balance, stretches and loosens the back bone and clears blockage of the spinal nerves.
Steps:
1.      Stand straight with your legs apart.
2.      Now while inhaling, raise your hands above the head and keep the palms facing each other.
3.      Raise your heels from the ground and stand on your toes while exhaling gradually.
4.      While you keep yourself well-balanced on the toes, stretch your arms further up as you inhale.
5.      Try raising your heels and stretching your body to the optimum level.
6.      Remain in this position till you feel uncomfortable.
7.      Exhale slowly and return to starting position by lowering the arms and heels simultaneously.
8.      Practice 10 cycles.
