Imagine this: You are alone at home, and the door lock suddenly breaks or goes bad. What will you do now? You can either stay awake the whole night, or call over a friend or relative to give you company. But, if you don't have this option then, head straight to your kitchen and take out that fork to build your safety tool.

You will need a fork, cutter and a hammer for this.

Bend fork's prongs using the hammer, and fit it in the door lock in a way that it covers the gap in door. Up next, close the door and take another fork or a spoon to insert its handle into the prongs.

Your door is now locked, and won't open unless you remove the handle from the prongs. Postpone the task of lock repair and replacement for the next day and sleep well.

You can use this as a portable makeshift lock anywhere.
