In the last few days, as you must have noticed, Facebook has shifted focus from statuses and images to videos. The default setting, as everyone has very annoyingly noticed, is that when you scroll over the video, it starts to play automatically, and you are left wondering why there are so many videos on your timeline suddenly.
Well, here is how you can switch off the auto-play feature and save your time and internet data from being wasted.
1. For Computers
Go to the drop-down menu, in the extreme right corner of your Facebook timeline. Select Settings and click on Videos in the extreme left corner. In the Auto-Play Videos, select Off.
2. For Android Phones And Tablets
Open the Facebook app and tap on the three-lined icon that comes next to the notification icon. Scroll down to Help & Settings and click on App Settings. Select Off from the Videos Play Automaticallyoption.
3. For iPhones Or iPads
Open the Facebook app and tap on the three-lined icon that comes next to the notification icon. InSettings, choose Videos and then Autoplay, and click on Off.
